Kimdracula

This piece actually came about as a contest submission for Bar Sinister in LA. I’ve used a blurring technique with the skin, which looks very similar to when I was shading with the Smudge Tool. The difference, is that I applied it with the brush strokes visible, then blurred after – rather than moving the color around with the smudge.

My choice of border and lighting effects may seem a little strange in this one. If you look at the photos on Bar Sinister’s site, you’ll understand where I got the idea.
